Am I Eligible?
We aim to provide financial support for individuals to undertake training that will help them improve their lives, increase their likelihood of employment or further their career.

There will be an application process involved, the individuals will need to satisfy the following criteria:
- live in Anglesey or Gwynedd.
- not eligible for support from other local support services.
- Undertake specific training which will improve their chances of employment.

The trustees will meet to discuss all applications in a funding cycle to determine who is awarded the funding based on the information given in the application form and contact with references or supporting agencies. The funding cycle will be quarterly.

No, the beneficiaries may be unemployed or may also be employed but keen to undertake further training or qualifications that could further their career prospects or improve their life in general (eg driving lessons). Assisting those in financial hardship / the working poor is a key vision. We do not want to replicate the work of other agencies / government initiatives that are there to support the unemployed.

- Location – Anglesey or Gwynedd.
- No access to other funding or support.
- The trustees will carry out sufficient due diligence to ensure that the request or situation meets the charitable purposes

- Vocational training in any field. An example would be construction related competency cards (CSCS).
- Driving lessons and further driving qualifications such as (additional categories such as trailer / HGV).
- College / evening course fees.

- once a funding cycle (with specified financial amount) is open this will be advertised through the means stated above.
- application form to be completed by the applicant.
- trustees will make contact with references / sponsors to review the purpose of the proposed grant including an understanding of how it will benefit the individual.
- trustees will meet to look at all applications and decide who is successful.
- notify the applicants if they are successful or not.
- trustees will liaise with the training provider to distribute the funds.
- trustees will request formal feedback relating to the impact of the grant from the beneficiaries upon the successful completion of the course. This will be in the form of a feedback form.

- small grant making up to the value £150.00 per beneficiary, however this will be the exact cost of the training requested which will be paid directly to the training provider. This may be extended in future following annual reviews but up to the value of £500 maximum.
- it may be that in some instances the grant will be a percentage of the cost and the beneficiary will have to fund the remainder of the cost.

The trustees apply the funds of ‘Cronfa JK’ at their discretion and in accordance with the charitable purposes and objectives of the charity.
