John Kelly Construction Services Limited (JKCS) were appointed principal contractor on the design and development of two new build dwellings in the village of Bethel. The bungalows consisted of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms as well as garage and were fitted with solar panels, under floor heating and air source heating to increase sustainability, in line with our environmental policies. This project was situated within a populated residential area, it was essential for us to carry out the work with minimal disruption to the local residents, we did this through planning deliveries and work on-site carefully to minimise the disruption. JKCS worked closely with the buyers to provide a choice of finishes which were to the satisfaction of the new owners.
This project demonstrates our capability to work as a principal contractor and carry out our own projects. This project was situated within a populated residential area, it was essential for us to carry out the work with minimal disruption to the local residents, no complaints were received at all, demonstrating our commitment to being considerate to the neighbours in the vicinity of our projects. The sourcing of materials at the time of this project was difficult due to national and global shortages, JKCS were able to work effectively with our suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure that materials were available without impacting on the project deadlines. John Kelly Construction were delighted with the finish and quality of the dwellings developed. The site was recognised for the quality of the work by the NHBC, demonstrating our commitment to work which is of the highest quality.
CDM Regulations - This scheme demonstrates our ability to organise and operate sites as a main contractor. All our sites are operated in accordance with CDM Regulations: 2015. This site was inspected as part of our external ISO inspection process in relation to ISO 45001 (Health and Safety), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 9001 (Quality).
Existing services – demonstrates our ability to work safely and efficiently around existing services on site.
Effective co-ordination - This project demonstrates our effective collaboration with local suppliers and sub-contractors to procure materials in a timely manner in order to meet project deadlines.
Standards - JKCS effectively engaged with Gwynedd Local Authority Building Control department and the NHBC in order to meet all required standards.
John Kelly Construction were delighted that this site was awarded a Quality Award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Awards, demonstrating our commitment to work which is of the highest quality. This site was one of only 2 in North Wales that were recognised with this award.
